Our team is made up of researchers from the University of Lincoln, King’s College London, University of Nottingham, University of Manchester, Gambling with Lives, GamLearn, and GamFam. The team members span interdisciplinary experience including qualitative and quantitative research, clinical practice, and previous psychological autopsies. The project was conceptualised with a lived experience steering group and all decisions are made with this group.
The research is led by the University of Lincoln. The university has well established links with parliament, including our ParliLinc centre, which aims to develop engagement between researchers and parliament. The lead researchers on this project are co chairs of the Academic Forum for the Study of Gambling (AFSG), which is a network of academic researchers in the UK dedicated to advancing the research needed to effectively prevent, reduce, and address gambling harm.
